In June 2023, 200 drones lit up the sky above Museumplein in Amsterdam to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Van Gogh Museum. The show, designed by Studio DRIFT, recreated scenes from Vincent van Gogh's work in light, with Flyby Guys as pilot in command (PIC).

About the show
The anniversary show used the drones as moving brushstrokes, drawing elements of Van Gogh's best-known paintings against the night sky above the museum. It was one of the highlights of the museum's anniversary celebrations on Museumplein.
Flying above a busy public square in central Amsterdam takes careful planning: a precise flight area, safety distances from the audience, and coordination with the city and the event organisers.
"Interesting to see Van Gogh's timeless creations meet modern art performed by drones. Truly a unique experience!" Stephen, CEO of Flyby Guys
